Opening The Door To Opportunity

Career Day at local schools is a great way to educate the public about the work we do everyday. Our doctors and licensed vet techs routinely attend these events!

Bow-WOW-Walk

The bow-WOW-walk is an annual competitive trail race and non-competitive, dog friendly walk that supports Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA’s life saving mission. The event brings together animal lovers to celebrate wellness, community, and compassion while promoting healthy living for both people and pets. Participation helps build a brighter future for homeless animals in need, strengthens the community, and fosters a more compassionate world for pets and their people.

Adopt a Stream

Charlottesville Veterinary Hospital acts as community steward of the environment and promotes vital water quality improvements through the Adopt-a-Stream community initiative. The staff dedicate their time and efforts into regularly cleaning and maintaining a portion of Meadow Creek in McIntire Park.

CFC Halloween- Strut your Mutt

The Strut your Mutt event is an annual gathering that benefits the animals at Caring for Creatures, the first no-kill sanctuary in the state of Virginia. CVH joins other sponsors and vendors in a series of Halloween themed activities that involve the community and their pets in fundraising.

Spay & Neuter Clinic

Spaying and neutering helps control overpopulation, lowers the risk of certain diseases and infections, and reduces the number of homeless animals. CVH held a high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter clinic to aid in easing the ever-growing burden of overcrowding in shelters and rescues.

Food Drives

Many shelters rely heavily on donations of food and necessary supplies to provide proper nutrition and adequate living conditions for their animals. With the help and involvement of the surrounding community and our clients, CVH regularly organizes food drives to support our local shelters and the pets in their care.
